I. The Legion
Doyle
A Doyle is the result of a failed ritual. They are the personification of regret, as they are forged by the souls of the damned that wasted their last breath on a prayer gone unheard. They are docile, though once summoned, can only be returned to their homeland by the whispering of an incantation lost to time. Doyles take shape of a human-like shadow with a tattered cloak draped over their body, with hollow eyes that frequently form foggy tears without reason. These demons will not leave the summoner's side until:
- The summoner's mind breaks.
- The Doyle is sent away by the invocation.
- The summoner has a change of heart that the Doyle can smell.
It is said the smell of a remorseful heart is similar to that of henbane.
Nosoi
A Nosoi is a demon to be summoned by the desperate. They are linked to the stench of death and sickness. After a successful summoning, the summoner and the Nosoi will engage in combat. The winner of said combat will be granted a wish of ultimate ability. Of course, one can assume, defeating a demon is not easy. These demons have a special hierarchy in the damned realm, the role determined by the amount of souls (victims) they've acquired. Depending on the rank, a queen, a king, a prince, or a princess will be "crowned" every full moon and granted a more powerful, limitless form. While appearance can vary depending on the origin of the demon and the rank it holds, a typical depiction is of a lanky devil with knife-like claws.
Andromeda
An Andromeda is a feminine demon that when successfully summoned will obey the summoner's every command. While this could include the typical stereotype of an succubus, the command could be as simple as to defend the summoner or do household chores. There is no―
