Lopov Ficar was born in Yoko, a small farming and fishing village on the eastern coast of Koganon. Growing up, Lopov worked almost constantly to produce potatoes, sugar cane, pumpkins, and other types of farm foods for his family. He also took on other basic responsibilities, such as trading with nearby towns. This helped him develop a knowledge of nearby towns, sailing, and basic defense skills.

 

At an early age of 8, Lopov was trained by his brother Bolic, to become a better fighter. This was because of a recent attack on their farms, where a thief had stolen a bag full of crops, leaving the family to have a shortage of food. His training consisted mainly of Arsin style fighting, which consisted of knives, sticks, and hand to hand combat.
