Much of the island's early history can be found within the island's catacombs, a large network of tunnels underneath the island which are said to have been inhabited by the original natives of the island. The island's leadership deliberately conceals the entrance to the catacombs from the public eye, tightly restricting access for historians and researchers. Their motivations for this are unknown. This has led to many within the island forming their own myths and conspiracies surrounding the catacombs.
In addition to the catacombs, it boasts an offshore fortress, once ravaged and reduced to rubble long before the arrival of settlers. Efforts were undertaken to restore and refurbish the fortress, transforming it into a stronghold capable of defending the nation and the archipelago. To this day, no traces of the fortress's former occupants remain, with their presence being lost to time.
