The three gods of the faith, the Setrusi, are the highest of all the beings worshipped in the faith, with each being the patron of several key components of the natural/artificial world. The gods' patronage of concepts other than their central, worldly one are emphasized through divine aspects or epithets. The Setrusi are nearly universally worshipped by Mufijo practitioners, as they are the center of the faith. Arop, the
The Altan is elected by a Council of Electors, all of whom are ordained priests of the faith upon their appointment by the Altan. The name Mufijo is an English respelling of the Arcadian name for the faith, Mufiǧo. Mufiǧo is a portmanteau of the of the names of the three Setrusi, Za'''mu''', A'''fí''', and '''Ǧo'''rba. The same goes for Mufijo, which uses the English respellings of the three Setrusi's Arcadian names, Xa'''mu''', A'''fi''', '''Jo'''rb.
Although this is the current name for the faith, before the arrival of Pitru Punstraia and the founding of the Altanate, another Arcadian name, Lajrem Qarena [lɐːrɛm kɐrɛnna], was used in Alathra. This translates literally as the "Triple Harmony", alluding to the the three Setrusi just as the modern name does. After Pitru Punstraia's arrival in Alathra, though, Lajrem Qarena began to slowly fall out of use, until it ultimately disappeared entirely. Punstraia was from Yuvantiya, another realm of the faith, where Mufijo was the most frequently used and original name, and eventually imposed the shorter name on Mufijo practitioners in Alathra shortly after his declaration as Altan.
