'What is war? Tragic? Sometimes. Demoralizing? Certainly. But what else is it? It is the lifeblood of this world. Imagine a world of peace. What will happen when the last empire fades; when the way of the conqueror is blotted out; when the world is united in perfect peace? What will their be for the nations to struggle against? What will there be for them to strive towards? What will there be to push them together? What will there be to produce great nations? When the last war is finished, and the world is left without conflict, the nations will slowly fade to dust. The denizens of Alathra will say to one another 'this world is dying'. They will set for the seas and leave these lands. Our history will be buried under the ruins of an old world. Every cause, every crusade, every crown, gone. Every final battle and final stand, gone. Every bloodline, every culture, every conflict, gone. Peace will be the weapon that destroys us all. Peace will be the force that drags our history into the void.' -Camestres Angolmois

'''ANCESTRY'''
ANCESTRY

Camestres was born as a member of house Angolmois. His father was a noble from Prospit (the brother of Tilly Angolmois). Camestres' mother was an Eldian citizen by blood. Together they had him.
Camestres' father was a nobleman from the continent of Propsit named Mauragraine Angolmois. His mother was a common woman from Eldia named Festino. Mauragraine was the brother of Tilly Angolmois, both being of House Angolmois. This meant that the two sons of Tilly Angolmois, Rob Angolmois and Proper Angolmois, were the cousins of Camestres. Camestres was a son of House Angolmois of the former nation of Acquendavia.

PARENTS

Mauragraine Angolmois was a very proud man. He was both proud of his nobility and his heritage (House Angolmois of the Eldian people). Now the nobles of House Angolmois had long passed down a specific moral code, and so Mauragraine, out of pride, acted as though he cared deeply for these morals and wanted to preserve them. Outwardly he was very politically conservative. This however, was not true of Mauragraine's real life. He treated morality as a mere suggestion, and he only cared for power and wealth. A true Acquendavian, some would say.
'''EARLY LIFE'''

Camestres' Early life is not so well recorded. What is known is tragedy. Camestres' father, being a proud noble of Prospit had an affair with Camestres' mother. Niether were married, but because of his nobility, his father feared for his reputation. This ended in the assassination of his mother and the disappearance of his father.

This all played into the tragic story of Camestres' parents, beginning with the first time Mauragraine met Camestres' mother, Festino. Mauragraine and Festino, despite the difference in class, quickly fell in love. Festino was a good hearted woman, and was deceived into believing that Mauragraine was also of a good heart. He however, was not. The two quickly got into an affair, which resulted in Festino becoming pregnant. This was extremely problematic for Mauragraine. He had preached of strong morals, and he was a noble, and now here he was having had a child outside of marriage. Mauragraine, in an attempt to rescue his pride, devised a plan. He wanted to send the child (Camestres) away to be raised by a caretaker, who would never tell him of his ancestry. Festino however, was disgusted at this, and refused. So Mauragraine begged her, and she refused still. Then his begging became demanding, and still she refused. At last, fearing he would be ratted out for his demands and almost threats to Festino, Mauragraine simply fled from Eldia. He returned back to his home in Prospit. However, he did not choose to simply leave the situation as it was. Mauragraine did the unthinkable, and hired an assassin to quietly get rid of Festino and Camestres. But by now, Festino had already felt threatened by Mauragraine, and had fled from Eldia herself. It was in a place far away from Gaushen, that she gave birth to her son, Camestres, and out of fear for his life, she did send him away. She however, did not withhold the truth from his caretaker, and his caretaker was instructed to inform him as he grew up. This is where the life of Festino ended. Mauragraine's hired assassin did the job... at least he did it half way. When Mauragraine heard that the child had been sent away, he fled his home in Prospit, and lived out the rest of his days in some secluded and hidden place. Nobody knew what happened to him, but whispers and rumors say he went mad from the fear of losing everything.

After this point, he was raised in Eldia by a caretaker, and received education somewhere in mainland Arcadia.

'''FARIO THE WOLF'''

One of his only connections to his past was a great wolf which he inherited. It was a beast named Fario, formerly owned by his father, having supposedly been a gift to his mother. The exact origin of the wolf is not known. Rumors say that Aquendavian leadership once sought to bread a perfect beast for battle, but never succeeded, and that wolves like Fario are the product of that. What was special about Fario? She was larger and stronger than most other beasts of her kind, with a more fierce maternal instinct than other wolves have been known to have; overall highly protective and strong. In addition to this, her breed is known for long life.
