Before they took their leave, the gods gifted Senate with his family's hunting bow, the Malnourished Hippopotamus, an object he had left at his home in Yuvantiya. Although lost for two years after the Great Alathran War, Senate would regain the weapon, leaving it in his possession to this day. The bow is the only object he has left from his old life in Yuvantiya.
Setting off from the pristine hills he had found himself in, Pitru travelled south, encountering the great Acqeundavian city of Lothridge. Although he made an attempt to evade being seen, fearing this foreign land in which he had been taken to, guards upon the Walls of Lothridge caught sight of him. Pitru was suddenly shot with an arrow in the leg, immobilizing him. The guards came down from their posts and took him into the city. The officers in Lothridge mistook Pitru as a Kogongi and decided to send him to re-education camps established by the Acquendavians to strip him of a culture he in reality knew nothing of. The experience in this institution was agonizing for Pitru, most especially because he could not communicate with anyone, speaking only Ddazan (later Arcadian) upon his arrival in Alathra. As the Acqeundavians attempted to "educate" the culture out of the Kogongi within the school, Pitru was left alone, notneither understandingpracticing ornor practicingunderstanding any of the customs the teachers taught to be sinful. After about 4 months of witnessing constant brutalizing on the part of the Acquendavians, Pitru finally made attempts to learn the Kogongi speech of his fellow tormented inmates,. fromAlthough whatthe littlelanguage usewas ofgenerally theforbidden languageby therethe wasteachers atin least.the Hecamp, Pitru eventually learned some scattered Kogongi, and succeeded in communicating some general information about himself to other inmates,. who inIn their kindness, these Kogongi inmates helped Pitru to understandlearn more of the Kogongi whenlanguage, theyinstilling coulda deep sense of gratitude to the Kogongi within him. These Kogongi spoke of a vibrant and peaceful culture across the sea from Lothridge. Intrigued, Pitru bided his time to try to escape to this homeland of the Kogongi. One night, when those guarding the school had become drunk for some sort of celebration, Pitru slinked away into the night, reaching a river by dawn. TheAlthough Acquendavianshe madehad tried to bring some scatteredof attemptsthe Kogongi inmates with him to locatehelp guide Pitru to their homeland, they were separated and ultimately captured by the Acqeundavians. The Acquendavians continued to search for him throughout the night, but Pitru was able to hide in thea river that he now calledtitled the Draxí [drɐˈxi], named in Arcadian from the flowers bountiful on its banks. When he believed the coast to be clear, Senate once again made haste towards the coast. Upon reaching a small bay, he found an abandoned boat, which he made use of to row far from the coast.

Upon sailing out to the sea, Pitru's tired state and lack of sleep became quite apparent. Phantoms formfrom the sky diveddove down to harass him as he rowed. Not well experienced in the art ofwith sailingboats, Pitru was helpless in his predicament, fully expecting to join his mother and father in the afterlife. LikeHowever, like a beacon in the distance, Pitru noticed a large landmass on the horizon. He rowed towards it with great haste and landeddifficulty, landing nearbynear a small fishing village. Going north, Pitru made his way through the Forests of Cotona, happening upon the city of Kais Kogong. Desperate for food, Pitru hiked towards the recently established town, not yet knowing he had found the Kogongi people his fellow inmates had told him of.
