Its name is based off the form of "magic", as followers of Maejik practice Maejik the "magic" and have and undeniable faith in the power of Maejik, so much so that they believe it truly allowed the ascension of the Hexad to godship. Each follower of Maejik is capable of at least a degree of Maejik, hence their faith in its power. The power of Maejik the "magic" has long dwindled, which many attribute to the gradual westward movement of the Maejikers (the followers of Maejik), and even more to the Hexad having left their state of mortality with it to battle the Gods that gave that state to them. The sign of Maejik still existing, in some places to a great extent, causes Maejikers to believe that the Hexad was victorious, or at least not destroyed.

Maejikers, given that the All Seeing Hexad understood Maejik enough to use it to transcend their binds of mortality, believe that Maejik is now controlled by the Hexad itself. Some believe that the Hexad is trying to prevent anyone from gaining the power to challenge their god-like status, while others believe the Hexad is preventing the use of Maejik in quantities enough to allow for Maejik based destruction, which [[The Inner Eye of Frebius|Maurycy Frebius]] had greatly utilized. Regardless, the people firmly believe that the All Seeing Hexad controls Maejik, and thus they practice a healthy fear of them.
