Acquendavia was a nation primarily located on Prospit. It was the oldest non-continuous nation in Alathra. It was well known for its imperialist tendencies and authoritarian ideology.
History
Originally established on November 19th, 2020, Acquendavia was the first nation to form in the world of Alathra.
The nation of Acquendavia was founded based on the philosophical teachings of the Emperor Grandpa_boob and his most trusted advisor, Ripesack, His philosophies dogma(a principle or set of principles laid down by an authority as incontrovertibly true.) praises that happiness is the highest virtue, and achieving happiness should be the goal of every decision made. The philosophy also teaches that the only way man can become completely happy is with power which leads the Kingdom of Acquendavia to seek more and more power, in hopes of achieving absolute happiness. This philosophical dogma is present in every way throughout Acquendavia and its cities, with the capital city of Lothridge housing the twin towers of philosophy, with a tower on top of one mountain, made of quartz and stone, representing power, and a tower made on top of the mountain opposite it, representing Happiness. These towers symbolize the citizens of Acquendavias ongoing fight to achieve happiness through power of all kinds.
Acquendavia was disbanded after Grandpa_boob forgot to pay upkeep costs, making all constituent towns independent. Its capital, Lothridge, would later be conquered by Ashina.
On July 11, 2021, Lothridge seceded from Ashina, refounding Acquendavia. Neighbouring nation Fare-Sesso was dissolved in favour of its town joining Acquendavia. Acquendavia would continue Ashina's claims over the continent, now claiming all land with exception of Laputa and Archivia. It led a campaign against the U.S.A, winning the war with the aid of its allies from Elyria. Acquendavia later participated in the Great War, fighting alongside Elyria once again.
In September of 2021, several towns under de jure Acquendavian sovereignty established the Prospit Organized Resistance Army, leading to the Prospitian Revolution. The political consequences of the Revolution also led to the Elyrian Civil War - this, combined with hesitancy to aid Acquendavia following the Great War, meant that the kingdom had to fight the rebellion alone. Acquendavian forces were not able to quell the revolution, losing a decisive battle at Dalleton, forcing the dual kings to relinquish their claim over the continent. On October 8, Grandpa_boob announced that Acquendavia would disband entirely, respecting the independence of all of its constituencies.
