GrimTheRedWolf is a player who joined on the 18th of July, 2021. He is the current owner of Nowhere, a small town/island that was rebuilt and located in a cold/frozen ocean, and apart of the Federation of Arith.
Appearance
One of the first thing people often note about Grim's appearance is his "Kingly look" as he wears a red and gold robe and copper crown. The second thing people often notice is his eyes as he has heterochromia. His right eye is a bright green and his left is a bright red. This is both unusual and unnatural as these eye colours don't typically occur in humans.
Grim stands at a hight of 6'4 making his quite tall.
Another feature that is often noted is the fact that he wears a lantern on his head. This takes off his helmet option leaving him in always 3/4 full gear making him easier to hurt or kill. When asked about this is he will say "I need it to see in the dark."
History
Grim joined Alathra on the 18th of July, however his story starts on the 19th as this is when he found himself in the middle of a snowy tundra, somewhere on Arith. He would later explore the continent and eventually found himself at HighTide where he met GreatLemi and Sheepboi. They allowed him to stay and Grim stayed on the island for sometime, even setting up a small shack/stall to live in (which was later blow up), until leaving for good and setting up his new home at the ruins of NoTown. He rebuilt the town and renamed it Nowhere. He would later go on and join the FCA due to the fact that Nowhere was considered to be part of FCA territory. During the breakup of the FCA he remained with HighTide and would be one of the towns to join the Federation of Arith.
During his time in Alathra he has made friends with almost everyone he sees. So much so that the Knights of Sol consider him to be a friend and ally. He has also good relations with Southada, Lethos and Elyria.
Lore
The King's Tale
Despite being quite active not much is know about Grim's backstory and place of origin. The most people know of his origin is from a book that is thought to relate to him. This book is called "The King's Tale" and only a few exist. One can be found in the museum of HighTide. The book states that a king, no name mentioned, ruled an unknown land called Olgard. The people of Olgard are said to live for an average of 200 years. Olgard is described as being a place full of joy and happiness and free from illness and war. However a person close to the king, also no name mentioned, grew sick and since they had no need for medicine the person was going to die indefinite. So, a trickster goddess who goes by the title "The Saint of the Dark" offered to help the king by healing the person of the illness. However the Goddess was envious of another god, "The Saint of the Fire", for he was more favoured than her. So, too spite him she tricked the king and told him to kill the newborn daughter of the Queen of the Northern Winter. After the death of the child the Queen found out and grew mad with anger and heartbreak. The other gods also found out about the terrible sin committed, but completely unaware of the actions of the Saint of the Dark, and cast the king out of Olgard. They also put two curses on him. It is also mentioned that the king's eyes became red with the blood of the newborn.
The curses
Grim carries two curses on him. The first is his inability to see in the dark. Thus the reason why he was a lantern on his head. The second is the lack of memory. Grim is often know for having a terrible memory and will forget things he has just done and mentioned. He also can't remember what he did before arriving at Alathra. All this is mentioned in the book he will often bring with him called "Grim's diary". In the book he refers to having a feeling of overwhelming guilt for something he has no idea he did. He also mentions the moon a lot as he often tells people that depending on the moon phase will depend on how he sees. He has asked for help from different people and has even tried removing the curses off himself with no luck. Currently he is working with Grandmaster LordCrowe of Castle Nevermore in hopes of removing the curses.
Traits
Grim is often considered friendly and dislikes conflict. He is also extremely bad at fighting though will keep bones on him to summon dogs to fight if needed.
Despite having access to food, Grim will willingly eat and consume rotten flesh, to everyones disgust. When asked about this he states "I don't know why I like it, I guess it's because it was the first thing I remember eating." He will often go zombie hunting to gain more rotten flesh.
Grim is also known for travelling and has once explored almost all of Arith in a single day before going south. This often causes him to meet more people and become friends with them.
Grim's religion is something he doesn't talk about as he doesn't know himself. He has been offered places in other religions but say "It doesn't feel right to follow another."
Other
Grim was at the meeting of Southada and Elyria and was the one the created Peach, the chicken of peace, by throwing an egg at Sherman.
Grim told the FCA of Tartarus's meeting with King Eric of Elyria in hopes to join political support from the removal of Romanus Silva from the FCA before it split.
