Overview

The Roman Collection is a 3 part publication composed of "Rome: Laws and Legal Protocal", "Rome: Religion and Ritual Structure", and "Rome: A History"; volumes 1 and 2, including "The City Of Truth" (a separate biographical publication). The series was developed in what was the Roman State, and is now at the core of Invictan culture and tradition, holding a special place in its ethnic history.

The collection resides in the Temple of Romulus, Invictus.

"Rome: Laws and Legal Protocal"

"Rome: Laws and Legal Protocal" is a government publication considering the Judicial procedure, Legal boundaries, Punishable offences, and Implementation of Law within what was the Roman state (now Invictus).

Judicial Procedure

"All individuals being convicted of a crime MUST be held before a court of at least 3 public officials, defense optional and not state provided. There will be a hearing, followed by a vote and verdict, finalized with a decision upon decided punishment."

Legal Boundaries

"Roman laws and legal procedures can only be validated within Roman territory and status, and will not be held with regard externally. For example, if an individuals belongings are stolen from the wilderness, it is not a punishable offence in Rome."

Punishable Offences

- Thievery: "The only possibility as for punishable theft is of a trade gone wrong."

- Assault: "Upon conviction, assault is punishable by a fine, jail-time, or depending on repetitive offense, public execution or exile."

- Murder: "If proven intentional or guilty, a murderer will either be jailed, jailed and executed, or jailed executed and exiled."

- Bribery of an Official: "If caught attempting or evidently convicted of bribery, the perpetrator will then be held in a 2 block cage, and

beaten to death with feathers before the public. The same follows for one recieving a bribe."

Implementation of Law

"Rome: Religion and Ritual Structure" is an atheistic scripture of Roman tradition.

Religion?

"Rome has no official religious structure, it is a society based around human achievement. It is believed that the future depends on your own strength and determination, as the Roman equivalent of "gods" is the admiration of heroes past."

"Rome has one sole ritual: Politics. When a decision needs to be made, Rome's council is called to the chamber within the Temple of Romulus. During the assembly, the central flame is extinguished, so as to represent the transition into a "New Flame".

The Last Page

The 4th page, the last page in the volume, ends with the latin phrase:

"Vivamus heroum fabulis antiquis populi."

Meaning:

"Let us live the heroes' stories of the ancient people."

Overview

"Rome: A History" is a 2-part historical epic, recounting the rise, fall, and

creation of the present-day Invicta Empire.

Volume One

"Rome was founded on June 12, 2021, when its founder and leader Stevius Blockius Draconius settled the largely uncolonized Alathran frontier on the southern coast of the northwest continent."

- Chapter 1 largely documents the generally uninterrupted founding of Rome, apart from some very violent confrontations in Ashina.

Chapter 2: Redwood.

"Stevius awoke to discover a settlement by the name of Redwood had appeared just over the ridge from Rome." Continued: "It wasn't soon after, that Stevius was confronted with Fred_book and an assembly of armed soldiers on the citadel."

- Chapter 2 follows the rise of the neighboring city of Redwood, and the uneasy alliance that kept them at bay.

Chapter 3: War and Devistation.

"Rome entered into a brief era of militaristic expansion as they besieged the neighboring northern fortress of Amkenfort, and subsequently occupied the town."

"The Fall of Rome was near. Following the Great Fires, the town of Rome was disbanded along with the nation."

- Chapter 3 documents Amkensfort and the "Fall of Rome" on June 17, 2021.

Chapter 4: The Aftermath.

"Shortly after its fall, Rome was sacked and burned by various unknown assailants. The only structure remaining was the great citadel that Stevius Blockius has started work on shortly before the fall."

"Fred_book contacted Stevius Blockius, and urged him to return."

Chapter 5: Rome Returns.

"Fred_book returned Rome's land to Stevius, and in return he would join Redwoods ajoining nation: The F.C.A."

"A bright Rome, a bright future. Roma Aeterna."

- Chapter 5 sees the return of Rome and the rise of Invictus.
