House of Tiberia
The House of Tiberia is a noble house originating in Arkitus and later moving to Adelaa'r and then Omis.
History
Founding
Long ago, a war took place between Rhumish settlers in South Arkitus and the native population of Namoics. Eventually, peace was agreed upon, and the city of Jhai was formed as a place Rhumlaandters and Namoics could live in peace. They soon elected a Governor to rule Jhai and the other nearby colonies (except for Ikarel, which had fallen to vampirism and was deemed unsafe). This Governor, Tiberius Jakivus I, also known as St. Tiberius in the Purificationist Church, formed the House of Tiberia to centralize power around him and his family.
Fall of the House
Eventually, the territory the House ruled, known as the Tiberian Colonies, fell and the House of Tiberia faded into obscurity. In its place, a military oligarchy called the Consulate of South Arkitus was set up.
Return of the House
The Jhaian historian and military officer Zenaadt Raskiluus Welhulme, at the time Captain of the J.N.S. Victory (the first Scoutmaster-Class patrol ship of the South Arkitusian Navy), discovered that his great-grandfather, Lord Leopaulde V Welhulme vaan Tibier, was the last Head of the House of Tiberia. Zenaadt changed his name to Tibier Jaakens III Welhulme (Tiberius Jakivus III William) and was declared the new Head.
Move to Adelaa'r
When Tiberius and his family moved to Adelaa'r to found the Duchy of Tiberia, the House officially became a family within the Drachen nobility. When the Empire of Styvaria was formed in the ruins of Drachenland, Tiberius was allowed to keep his old titles and the House of Tiberia became a Styvarian and later Adelaaran noble house.
Temporary Abdication of Tiberius Jakivus III
As Texasia is a democratic republic, when Tiberius became Vice President he abdicated his position as Head of the House. After the First Battle of Texasia, he left the Republic and resumed his position as Head.
Current State
Currently, the House is a minor noble house within the Empire of Id'eskana. As the House was no longer on the continent of Adelaa'r, the position of Tiberius' old Ducal titles is uncertain.
